Reverse Your Hair Loss: Effective Solutions for a Fuller, Healthier Mane
Hair loss is more than just a cosmetic concern; it can profoundly impact self-esteem and confidence, making effective and personalized treatment options essential and often life changing.
First you must identify whether you are experiencing hair loss or, or just hair shedding. There are differences between the two and treatments may differ on a case by case basis.
Hair Loss
Hair loss is a medical condition where hair fails to grow. There is an underlying cause that is actively causing the hair to shed, but also preventing it from growing back. There are various kinds of hair loss with different causes, symptoms, and solutions.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, baldness develops slowly but the best results are seen when treatment is implemented as soon as possible.
At Peaks Curative we have a team of board certified physicians available to guide you through your best course of treatment. Our medical providers will review your case before you begin taking any medication. The process is completely free, virtual, and discreet.
Hair Shedding
Unlike hair loss, hair shedding can often resolve on its own and it’s normal to shed up to 100 hairs a day on average.
However, excessive hair loss can also be a cause of concern. The medical term is telogen effluvium, and it occurs in the telogen phase (the final stage) of hair growth. The condition causes your hair to enter this final stage prematurely, leading to hair loss.
A sudden increase in hair shedding can be due to any number of factors, including severe infections, illnesses, severe psychological stress, medications, and others.
Medication is often not necessary and hair shedding can typically be treated by removing the stressors that are causing it. It’s important to consult with a medical professional to decide on a course of action.
Battling Hair Loss
We’ve carefully selected the perfect blend of ingredients designed to halt hair loss and stimulate hair growth in just a few months. Our Mane Magic solution includes a calibrated dropper for careful application.
Applied topically at bedtime, and through the careful guidance of our medical providers, Mane Magic delivers its best results while you sleep.
Here is the breakdown of how each ingredient works its magic.
Finasteride
When DHT, or Dihydrotestosterone, levels are too high, your hair follicles are overstimulated and shrink, leading to hair loss. DHT levels can elevate due to age, genetic disposition, or other health factors.
Finasteride lowers DHT levels right away, slowing any further hair loss. With daily consistent application, this decrease in DHT leads to hair growth over time. Although Finasteride is highly effective on its own, combining it with topical Minoxidil can lead to even more impressive results
Minoxidil
As the Finasteride stops your hair loss from worsening, Minoxidil increases the blood flow to your hair follicles by dilating nearby blood vessels.
Hair growth happens in a three-phase cycle. Understanding this can help you understand exactly where Minoxidil comes into play. Here is a simplified breakdown:
- Phase 1 – The Anagen Phase – The hair follicles are producing new cells and your hair is actively growing. This phase can last several years.
- Phase 2 – The Catagen Phase – Your hair detaches from its blood supply and is pushed upward through your scalp. In this stage, the diameter of your hair follicles decrease by one-sixth.
- Phase 3 – The Telogen Phase – Your hair stays in place as the cycle continues beneath it, forming a new hair follicle.
Minoxidil extends the Anagen Phase, allowing hair to remain in its growth stage for a longer period. And by increasing the blood flow, Minoxidil allows for an increase in the diameter of your hair follicles (which decrease in the Catagen Phase), leading to thicker hair.
Tretinoin
To help enhance the absorption of Minoxidil, we included Tretinoin. This well-known FDA approved medication is widely used for a variety of skin conditions, but research has suggested it can also boost hair growth.
When combined with Minoxidil, Tretinoin can decrease your required applications from two to one, making the process way more convenient.
One clinical study tested men experiencing hair loss, and the group who combined Tretinoin with Minoxidil experienced hair growth while only having to apply it once a day.
This study revealed that a large percentage of their participants, men experiencing hair loss, were initially nonresponsive to Minoxidil. After taking it in combination with Tretinoin, these men showed a positive response to the treatment in just five days.
Melatonin
To complete the assembly line of regrowth solution, Melatonin is the finishing touch. A clinical article published in 2023 summarized several studies and found that in most of them, topical melatonin resulted in improved hair growth, density, and thickness.
While Melatonin is most commonly known for aiding in sleep, it has quite the opposite effect on hair growth. Remember the hair growth cycle? Melatonin can extend the Anagen stage, which prolongs hair growth. These four ingredients have been expertly blended to deliver optimal results.
Hair loss can be frustrating and often discouraging, but like all good and worthwhile things, hair regrowth takes time and patience. Be consistent and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor. And remember, balding is not a life sentence.
